An Ordinance Adopting Amendments to Chapter 43.02A (Fire Department Fee Schedule) of the Village Code of Ordinances

WHEREAS, it is the responsibility of the Corporate Authorities to periodically review and assess the fees and charges associated with the provision of Village services by the various departments of the Village; and

WHEREAS, as a result of such periodic review and analysis, the Village has determined that certain of the fees for services rendered by the Village Fire Department are in need of revision to better reflect and recover the costs associated with the provision thereof.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS; THAT:

SECTION 1: RECITALS. The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Ordinance as if fully set forth herein.
SECTION 2: ADOPTION OF AMENDED SECTIONS 43.02A(A) AND 43.02A(B) OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF ORDINANCES. All those heretofore adopted ordinances of the Village of Romeoville codified as and for Sections 43.02A(A) and 43.02A(B) of the Village Code of Ordinances shall hereby be amended to read as set forth therefor in Exhibit A, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
SECTION 3: ADOPTION OF AMENDED SECTION 43.02A(C) OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF ORDINANCES. All those heretofore adopted ordinances of the Village of Romeoville codified as and for Section 43.02A(C) shall hereby be amended to read as hereinafter set forth:
(C) Motor vehicle incident response cost recovery fees. The following charges shall be imposed upon parties requesting, served by or otherwise responsible for calls for the following listed Fire Department response services involving a motor vehicle incident:
(1) Level 1 - Hazardous materials assessment and scene stabilization. $478.50 per incident.
