RESOLUTION
A Resolution Waiving the Formal Bidding Process and Executing a Contract with Pure Technologies for the Condition Assessment of a 20-inch Ductile Iron Force Main in the amount of $231,500.

Whereas, The Village of Romeoville ("The Village") is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, Village Staff requested a proposal from Pure Technologies U.S. Inc. (Pure Technologies) to perform a conditions assessment of approximately 1-mile of 20" ductile iron force main; and,
Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,
Whereas, the expenditures to perform a conditions assessment of approximately 1-mile of 20" ductile iron force main can be drawn from the 2019 Water and Sewer Capital Improvement Bond; and,
Whereas, Village Staff has reviewed the proposed scope/budget and recommends the Village Board execute the proposal and contract with Pure Technologies in the amount of $231,500
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to perform a conditions assessment of approximately 1-mile of 20" ductile iron force main.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
