RESOLUTION
A Resolution Waiving the Formal Bidding Process and Executing a Contract with Pure Technologies for the Condition Assessment of a 20-inch Ductile Iron Force Main in the amount of $231,500.

Whereas, The Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, Village Staff requested a proposal from Pure Technologies U.S. Inc. (Pure Technologies) to perform a conditions assessment of approximately 1-mile of 20” ductile iron force main; and,
Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,
Whereas, the expenditures to perform a conditions assessment of approximately 1-mile of 20” ductile iron force main can be drawn from the 2019 Water and Sewer Capital Improvement Bond; and,
Whereas, Village Staff has reviewed the proposed scope/budget and recommends the Village Board execute the proposal and contract with Pure Technologies in the amount of $231,500
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to perform a conditions assessment of approximately 1-mile of 20” ductile iron force main.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
Section 5: Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
