A Resolution to Accept a Proposal from NuToys Leisure Products
for Playground Equipment for the Budler Park Renovation

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/9-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43 (C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Village of Romeoville may by a vote of 2/3 of the Trustees then holding office, waive the otherwise applicable requirements for public bidding, whether for labor, services or work, the construction of public works or improvements, or the purchase, lease or sale of personal property, materials, equipment or supplies; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville approved a resolution to renovate Budler Park on December 19. 2018, and
WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville ("Village") has heretofore received a proposal from NuToys Leisure Products for playground equipment for the renovation at Budler Park in the amount of $62,000.00 (see Exhibit A); and
WHEREAS, the Village has been provided a rendering of the proposed renovations for Budler Park (see Exhibit B); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,
WHEREAS, to permit the prompt commencement and completion of the aforementioned project, the Village must approve a proposal from NuToys Leisure Products for playground equipment to complete the renovation.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, that:
SECTION ONE: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth in this Section 1.
SECTION TWO: That the various provisions of this Resolutions are to be considered severable and if any part or portion of this Resolution shall be held invalid by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such decisi...
