A Resolution Waiving the Bidding Requirements and Accept the Price Quote from Estream Clean to Soft wash Stone/Brick and Clean exterior Windows at Village Hall and Police Department

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville ("The Village") is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, two proposals were received for the exterior cleaning of brick/stone and windows at the Village Hall and Police Department, and the lowest proposal was submitted by Exstream Clean; and,
Whereras, the expenditures will be expensed in account number 01.08.08.299 and 01.08.08.402.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable for the proposal from Extream Clean in the amount of $32,370 for the soft wash of stone and brick to the exterior of the building and cleaning of all exterior windows. The contractor will apply penetrating sealers to all natural stone on the building to thwart water penetration into the stone causing wicking. Sealer will be applied beyond the stone to the first layer of brick to overlap the grout.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceab...
