A Resolution Declaring Surplus Property and Authorizing the Disposition of a Crown Vic and a Ford Explorer to Reza Auto Repair for use to Benefit the Special Olympics

Whereas, Reza Auto Repair has reached out and requested a retired vehicle for use in the charitable events and to benefit the Special Olympics; and,
Whereas, it is the opinion of the corporate authorities of the Village that the disposal of said equipment to be turned over to Reza Auto Repair for use to benefit the Special Olympics: and,
Whereas, the Crown Vic will be utilized in the 2024 charitable event and the 2017 Ford Explorer will be utilized in the 2025 charitable event: and,
Whereas, Reza Auto has previously raised approximately $10,000 in donations alone to the Five-O Race last year: and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The following listed vehicles shall be declared surplus to Reza Auto Repair for use to benefit the Special Olympics

Section 2: This resolution shall become effective upon passage, approval, and publication.
