A Resolution Approving the Performance of the ADA Compliance Program through the Concrete Repair Program

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville ("The Village") is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, a one-year extension of the contract for the 2021 Concrete Repair Program was approved at the April 6, 2022 Village Board Meeting via Resolution 22-3330, and the contract is currently active; and,
Whereas, $50,000 has been allocated in the 2022/2023 budget for the ADA Compliance Program, which facilitates repairs to public infrastructure such as sidewalks and curb ramps in order to be compliant with current ADA requirements; and,
Whereas, items for the sidewalk and curb ramp repairs are included in the contract for the Concrete Repair Program and will be performed under Concrete Repair Program unit prices.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Awarding of Contract: The Village of Romeoville approves the performance of the concrete repairs of the ADA Compliance program utilizing the Concrete Repair Program, up to an amount of $50,000.00.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
