A Resolution Approving an Addition to the 2020/21 Hampton Park Water Main Rehabilitation Program Contract

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, a bid letting for the Water Main Rehabilitation Program was held on July 2, 2020 and
the project was awarded to Len Cox & Sons Excavating with a bid of $1,562,614.00; and,
Whereas, additional costs not to exceed in the amount of $145,000 above the original contract bid amount were incurred due to unforeseeable additional subsurface rock conditions being encountered during water service installation, and other factors.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Awarding of Contract: The Village of Romeoville approves the addition to the contract for the Water Main Rehabilitation 2020/21 program in the amount not to exceed $145,000.00.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
Section 5: Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
