A Resolution to Waive the Bid Process and Accept the Price Quote for the Purchase of a Peterbilt 2 1/2 ton Single Axle Dump Truck with Snow and Ice Equipment

Whereas, The Village of Romeoville ("The Village") is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, The Village will purchase a Peterbilt 2 1/2 ton single axle dump truck with snow and ice equipment from JX Peterbilt through the Sourcewell Purchasing Cooperative, and outfit the truck with snow and ice equipment from Monroe Truck Equipment through the Sourcewell Purchasing Cooperative; and,
Whereas, The Village has $300,000 approved in the FY 21/22 Budget for the purchase of a replacement dump truck. The purchase price for the dump truck is $249,092.21 which is within our budget; and,
Whereas, The Village Staff recommends waiving the bidding requirements for the pricing of a single axle dump truck with snow and ice equipment utilizing funds in the account 60.08.22.410; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the purchase of a Peterbilt 2 1/2 ton single axle dump truck with snow and ice equipment in the amount of $249,092.21.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
