A Resolution Waiving the Bids and Authorizing the purchase of a 2022 Field Commander DaVinci Model athletic field striper for $20,104.00 from Central Distributing Company, Inc.

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43 (C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Village of Romeoville may by a vote of 2/3 of the Trustees then holding office, waive the otherwise applicable requirements for public bidding, whether for labor, services or work, the construction of public works or improvements, or the purchase, lease or sale of personal property, materials, equipment or supplies; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville would like to purchase a 2022 Field Commander DaVinci athletic striper as illustrated in Exhibit B to be utilized by the Parks and Recreation Department for various athletic field preparation assignments; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville wishes to accept a quotation from Central Distributing Company, Inc. for $20,104.00 for the purchase of a Field Commander DaVinci model (Exhibit A): and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, that:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby expressly incorporated into and made part of this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirement: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43 (C) of the Village Code of Ordinances the Corporate Authorities of the Village hereby waive the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to authorize the purchase of a 2022 Field Commander Davinci Model (as illustrated in Exhibit B) for a price not to exceed $20,104.00, per the terms set forth in the quotation attached hereto and incorporated as Exhibit A.
