A Resolution Authorizing the Execution of an Agreement with The Conservation Foundation to Submit an Application to The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) for The Illinois Natural Areas Stewardship Grant for O’Hara Woods Nature Preserve; to Allow Continued Stewardship Activities.

WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville has heretofore reviewed the Site Management Schedule for an Illinois Nature Preserve for The Conservation Foundation; and
WHEREAS, the Village desires to authorize the agreement with The Conservation Foundation to Submit an Application to The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) for The Illinois Natural Areas Stewardship Grant for O’Hara Woods Nature Preserve; to Allow Continued Stewardship Activities; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville is an Illinois home rule municipal corporation under the 1970 Illinois Constitution; and
WHEREAS, a copy of the agreement is attached to this Resolution and incorporated herein by reference as Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43(C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Village of Romeoville may by a vote of two-thirds of its Trustees then holding office, waive the otherwise applicable requirements for public bidding, whether for labor, services or work, the construction of public works or improvements, or the purchase, lease or sale of personal property, materials, equipment or supplies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1: The foregoing Recitals are hereby incorporated into this resolution as if fully set forth in this Section 1.
Section 2: That the proper officers of the Village are authorized and directed to execute and attest to the execution of the agreement in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A, subject to final Village Manager and Village Attorney review, and that any prior execution of and attestation to the same is hereby ratified and confirmed in all respects.
Section 3: That the various provisions of this Resolution are to be considered severable and if any part or portion of this Resolution shall be held invalid by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Resolution.
Section 4: All prior Resolutions and Resolutions, or parts thereof in conflict or inconsistent with this Resolution are hereby expressly repealed only to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency.
Section 5: This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
