Title

An Ordinance Amending Chapter 113 (Business Licenses) of the Village of Romeoville Code of Ordinances

Body

WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville has heretofore adopted Chapter 113 (Business Licenses) of the Romeoville Code of Ordinances pursuant to the Illinois Compiled Statutes to establish and set forth regulations pertaining to the use and development of land, buildings and structures in the Village; and,

 

WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable to amend the Business License Ordinance in response to changes in technology, development practices, and community standards and to improve administration and enforcement procedure; and,

 

WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees have accepted the Development Review Committee’s recommendation.

 

 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

 

Section 1:                     That the above recitals and referenced reports are hereby made a part of this Ordinance.

Section 2:                     That Section 113, Business Licenses, of the Romeoville Code of Ordinances be and hereby is amended to include the text attached in Exhibit A, to be codified within the Village of Romeoville Code of Ordinances as and for the provisions there of more specifically set forth in Exhibit A.

Section 3:                     That this Ordinance shall become effective upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.

Section 4:                      That the various provisions of this Ordinance are to be considered severable and if any part or portion of this Ordinance shall be held invalid by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Ordinance.
