A Resolution Authorizing an Agreement with Hitchcock Design Group for additional services for the Aquatic Center

WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville desires to accept a proposal from Hitchcock Design Group for the performance of design work for the development of the Aquatic Center, which services relate to design changes to increase the size of the splash pad component of the project; and
WHEREAS, Hitchcock Design Group is presently rendering design services to the Village for the Athletic Center Expansion Project and the Aquatic Center Project pursuant to an agreement approved by Resolution No. 19-2749; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43(C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Village of Romeoville may by a vote of two-thirds of its Trustees then holding office, waive the otherwise applicable requirements for public bidding, whether for labor, services or work, the construction of public works or improvements, or the purchase, lease or sale of personal property, materials, equipment or supplies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE. The foregoing Recitals are hereby incorporated into this resolution as if fully set forth in this Section 1.
SECTION TWO. Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43(C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Corporate Authorities of the Village hereby waive the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the provision of additional design services by Hitchcock Design Group for the provision of additional services pursuant to the terms of the proposal attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A to this Resolution, and authorize the Village to execute a contract for such services substantially consistent with the proposal incorporated herein as Exhibit A, subj...
