A Resolution to Waive the Bid Process and Accept the Price Quote for the Purchase of two Peterbilt Dump trucks

Whereas, The Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, The Village will purchase two truck chassis from JX Peterbilt, and outfit the trucks with snow and ice equipment from Monroe Truck Equipment utilizing the Sourcewell Purchasing Cooperative; and,
Whereas, The Village has $480,000 approved in the FY 20/21 Budget for the purchase of two (2), two-and-a-half-ton dump trucks. The purchase price of the two dump trucks is $426,313.80; and,
Whereas, The Village Staff recommends utilizing the Sourcewell Purchasing Cooperative and waiving the bidding requirements for the purchase of a two dump trucks with snow equipment; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Village of Romeoville will waive the bidding requirements for the purchase of a two dump trucks with snow equipment in the amount of $426,313.80.
Section 2: The Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
