A RESOLUTION DECLARING SURPLUS PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSITION/ DONATION OF SURPLUS PROPERTY

Whereas, pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Municipal Code (65 ILCS 11-76-4) the corporate authorities of the Village of Romeoville (the “Village”) are authorized to sell, donate, or otherwise dispose of surplus property when, in the opinion of a majority of the corporate authorities, the continued ownership of such property by the Village is no longer necessary or useful to or in the best interests of the Village; and
Whereas, the corporate authorities of the Village have determined that the continued ownership by the Village of Romeoville; 4 Camouflage Pocketed Vests, 1 Black Pocketed Vest, 8 Uncle Mikes Side Kick Pistol Holders, 4 Taurus Brand Airsoft Pellet Training Pistols, 7 .24 Caliber Air Mag Repeatair Model S1008 Airsoft Pellet Training Pistols, 3 .177 Caliber Repeater Airsoft Pellet Training Pistols, 2 Handmade Impact Protection Shields, 1 NeonFire 217 Series Airsoft Pellet Rifle (broken) 5, 5 Count CO2 Cylinders. 12 Gram, and a miscellaneous bag of pellets, unknown quantity, and 3 Precor Machines AMT 835, hereto are no longer necessary or useful to, nor in the best interest of the Village of Romeoville and authorize and direct the disposition/donation to TBA for their future needs, thereof in accordance with the terms hereinafter set forth.
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the President and Board of Trustees for the Village of Romeoville, Will County, Illinois, the following:
Section 1: RECITALS. The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as it fully set forth herein.
Section 2: DECLARATION AS SURPLUS; AUTHORIZATION OF DISPOSITION/DONATION of ; 4 Camouflage Pocketd Vests, 1 Black Pocketed Vest, 8 Uncle Mikes Side Kick Pistol Holders, 4 Taurus Brand Airsoft Pellet Training Pistols, 7 .24 Caliber Air Mag Repeatair Model S1008 Airsoft Pellet Training Pistols, 3 .177 Caliber Repeater Airsoft Pellet Training Pistols, 2 Handmade Impact Protection Shields, 1 NeonFire 217 Series Airsoft Pellet Rifle (broken) 5, 5 Count CO2 Cylinders. 12 Gram, and a miscellaneous bag of pellets, unknown quantity,and 3 Precor Machines AMT, are hereby declared to be surplus, and the continued ownership thereof is determined to no longer be necessary or useful to or otherwise in the best interests of the Village, and the Romeoville Fire Department is hereby authorized and directed to dispose/donate such property in any manner in which it deems appropriate, including but not limited to the donation to TBA for their future needs.
Section 3: SEVERABILITY. That the various provisions of the Resolution are to be considered severable and if any part or portion of this Resolution shall be held invalid by any Court of contempt jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Resolution.
Section 4: CONFLICTS. All prior Ordinances and Resolutions, or parts thereof in conflict or inconsistent with this Resolution are hereby expressly repelled only to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency.
Section 5: EFFECTIVE DATE. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
