A Resolution Authorizing Waiving the Bids and Accepting an Open-End (Equity) Lease Quotation for Two Vehicles for the Police Department from Enterprise Fleet Management under the Master Equity Lease Agreement with Enterprise FM Trust

WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville desires to accept an open-end (equity) lease quotation to add two additional police interceptor utility vehicles to the existing Master Equity Lease Agreement with Enterprise FM Trust, as heretofore approved by Resolution 18-2496, consistent with the quotation attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43(C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Village of Romeoville may by a vote of two-thirds of its Trustees then holding office, waive the otherwise applicable requirements for public bidding, whether for labor, services or work, the construction of public works or improvements, or the purchase, lease or sale of personal property, materials, equipment or supplies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE. The foregoing Recitals are hereby incorporated into this resolution as if fully set forth in this Section 1.
SECTION TWO. Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43(C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Corporate Authorities of the Village hereby waive the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the acceptance of the open-end (equity) lease quotation to add two additional police interceptor utility vehicles to the existing Master Equity Lease Agreement with Enterprise FM Trust, as heretofore approved by Resolution 18-2496, consistent with the quotation attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A, and further authorize the execution of any lease documents, lease quotations, purchase orders and other documents as may reasonably be required in connection therewith, subject to final Village Manager and Village Attorney review and approval thereof.
SECTION THREE. That the various provisions of this Resolution are to be considered severable and if any part or portion of this Resolution shall be held invalid by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Resolution.
SECTION FOUR. All prior Resolutions and Resolutions, or parts thereof in conflict or inconsistent with this Resolution are hereby expressly repealed only to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency.
SECTION FIVE. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
