A Resolution Authorizing Waiving the Bids and Approving an Agreement with CDW-G for the Purchase of Network Switches

WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville desires to enter into an Agreement with CDW-G for the purchase of network switches at a total cost of $148,133.29, which price was the lowest of the three price quotations solicited and received by the Village for the network switches in question; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43(C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Village of Romeoville may by a vote of two-thirds of its Trustees then holding office, waive the otherwise applicable requirements for public bidding, whether for labor, services or work, the construction of public works or improvements, or the purchase, lease or sale of personal property, materials, equipment or supplies.



NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

SECTION ONE. The foregoing Recitals are hereby incorporated into this resolution as if fully set forth in this Section 1.

SECTION TWO. Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43(C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Corporate Authorities of the Village hereby waive the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the purchase of network switches from CDW-G for the cost of $148,133.29 as herein provided, and further authorize the execution of any contract documents, purchase orders and other documents as may reasonably be required in connection therewith, subject to final Village Manager and Village Attorney review and approval thereof.

SECTION THREE. That the various provisions of this Resolution are to be considered severable and if any part or portion of this Resolution shall be held invalid by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity...
