A Resolution Authorizing the Acceptance of a Proposal from Wight & Company for Design through Construction Administration Professional Services for the redevelopment of Rotary Park, and to Waive the Bidding Process as to George's Landscaping Inc. to construct playground renovations, as to Little Tikes Commercial for the supply of playground equipment and as to Zenon Company for the supply of park fixtures.

WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville desires to accept a proposal from Wight & Company for the performance of design work for the Rotary Park Redevelopment, a proposal from Little Tikes Commercial for playground equipment and a proposal from Zenon Company for park fixtures; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43(C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Village of Romeoville may by a vote of two-thirds of its Trustees then holding office, waive the otherwise applicable requirements for public bidding, whether for labor, services or work, the construction of public works or improvements, or the purchase, lease or sale of personal property, materials, equipment or supplies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1: The foregoing Recitals are hereby incorporated into this resolution as if fully set forth in this Section 1.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43(C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Corporate Authorities of the Village hereby waive the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the provision of design services by Wight & Company, to the provision of playground equipment by Little Tikes Commercial and to the provision of park fixtures by Zenon Company for the Rotary Park Redevelopment pursuant to the terms of the attached proposals hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A to this...
