A Resolution Authorizing the Execution of a Consulting Services Contract (Brent Hassert Consulting LLC)

WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville has determined that it is in its best interests to enter into a contract with Brent Hassert Consulting LLC ("Consultant") for the provisions of consulting services to the Village; and
WHEREAS, the form of the contract with Consultant for consulting services shall be in substantially the form attached hereto and incorporated by reference as Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, two-thirds of the Village Trustees now holding office further find that it is advantageous to and in the best interests of the Village to waive the provisions of Section 36.48 of the Village Code of Ordinances with respect to the consulting services contract set forth in Exhibit A to the extent that the same are otherwise applicable thereto.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, that:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby expressly incorporated into and made a part of this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Approval of Execution of Consulting Services Contract: By a two-thirds vote of the Village Trustees now holding office, the provisions of Section 36.48 of the Village Code of Ordinances that otherwise apply to the contract contemplated herein are waived, and the proper officers of the Village are hereby authorized and directed to execute the consulting services contract with Consultant attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A, subject to the final review and approval of the Village President and the Village Attorney.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Resolutions or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
