Authorizing the Waiving of the Bid Requirement and the acceptance of the Open-End (Equity) Lease for Ten (10) vehicles for the Police Department from Enterprise Fleet Management under the Master Equity Lease Agreement with Enterprise FM Trust per

Body

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,

 

                     Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) has heretofore entered into a master lease agreement with Enterprise FM Trust per Resolution 18-2496; and,

 

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) has heretofore reviewed the Open-End (Equity) Lease Quotes for the leasing of One (1) 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV and Four (4) 2021 Ford Police Interceptors in the 2021-2022 budget from Enterprise Fleet Management; and,

 

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) has heretofore reviewed the Open-End (Equity) Lease Quotes for the leasing of One (1) 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV and Four (4) 2022 Ford Police Interceptors in the 2022-2023 budget from Enterprise Fleet Management; and,

 

Whereas, the Open-End (Equity) Lease includes the majority of equipment necessary to fully equip the vehicles for their intended uses; and,

 

                     Whereas, the Village’s Police Department has a number of vehicles that have reached the end of their useful lives as front-line serviceable vehicles and does not provide the features, functionality and reliability needed by the Village to continually operate effectively and efficiently; and,

 

                     Whereas, the Ten (10) vehicles will provide the Village with the features and functionality it desires; and,

 

                     Whereas, Enterprise Fleet Management has set forth quotes of 60-month lease terms of approximately ($6,100.00 per month) including Principal, Interest, Management Fees and End-of-Lease Service charges for the five (5) vehicles leased in the 2021-2022 budget; and,

 

Whereas, Enterprise Fleet Management has set forth quotes of 60-month lease terms of approximately ($6,100.00 per month) including Principal, Interest, Management Fees and End-of-Lease Service charges for the five (5) vehicles leased in the 2022-2023 budget; and,

 

                     Whereas, to permit prompt commencement, assemblage and procurement of the aforementioned vehicles, the Village must accept the Open-End (Equity) Lease Rate Quotes and execute the necessary agreements with Enterprise Feet Management and with Enterprise FM Trust.

 

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

 

Section 1.                     That the Village Board waives the requirement to obtain formal bids to execute the necessary agreements with Enterprise Fleet Management and Enterprise FM Trust to accept the Open-End (Equity) Lease Quotes for Five (5) vehicles including One (1) 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV and Four (4) 2021 Ford Police Interceptors in the 2021-2022 budget from Enterprise Fleet Management.

 

Section 2.                     That the Village Board waives the requirement to obtain formal bids to execute the necessary agreements with Enterprise Fleet Management and Enterprise FM Trust to accept the Open-End (Equity) Lease Quotes for Five (5) vehicles including One (1) 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV and four (4) 2022 Ford Police Interceptors in the 2022-2023 budget from Enterprise Fleet Management.

 

Section 3.                     That the contracts and quotes hereto aforementioned made by Enterprise FM Trust and Enterprise Fleet Management, in the estimated combined amount of $732,000.00 over the course of the leases, be accepted.

 

Section 4.                     That the President and Clerk or the Village Manager, Police Chief and Finance Director as their designees are hereby respectively authorized to execute and attest to the execution of contracts with Enterprise FM Trust and Enterprise Fleet Management accepted herein and execute any further documents necessary to effectuate the same.                     

 

Section 5.                     The Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
