A RESOLUTION DECLARING SURPLUS PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSITION/ DONATION OF SURPLUS PROPERTY (DIVE EQUIPMENT) TO THE PLAINFIELD FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT

Whereas, pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Municipal Code (65 ILCS 11-76-4) the corporate authorities of the Village of Romeoville (the "Village") are authorized to sell, donate, or otherwise dispose of surplus property when, in the opinion of a majority of the corporate authorities, the continued ownership of such property by the Village is no longer necessary or useful to or in the best interests of the Village; and
Whereas, the corporate authorities of the Village have determined that the continued ownership by the Village of Romeoville of 10 PFDs (Personal Flotation Device), 5 Sets of flippers, 5 Sets of ankle weights, 3 Full face AGA mask, 10 SCUBA Bottles, 10 BCDs ( Buoyancy Compensator Devices), 3 Dry suits/Thermals (Equipment from MABAS Division 10), 2 Gumby suits, 1 Assortment of lead weights (Total of 150 pounds) hereto is no longer necessary or useful to, nor in the best interest of the Village of Romeoville and authorize and direct the disposition/donation to the Plainfield Fire Protection District for their future needs, thereof in accordance with the terms hereinafter set forth.
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the President and Board of Trustees for the Village of Romeoville, Will County, Illinois, the following:
Section 1: RECITALS. The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as it fully set forth herein.
Section 2: DECLARATION AS SURPLUS; AUTHORIZATION OF DISPOSITION/DONATION. The 10 PFDs (Personal Flotation Device), 5 Sets of flippers, 5 Sets of ankle weights, 3 Full face AGA mask, 10 SCUBA Bottles, 10 BCDs ( Buoyancy Compensator Devices), 3 Dry suits/Thermals (Equipment from MABAS Division 10), 2 Gumby suits, 1 Assortment of lead weights (Total of 150 pounds) is hereby declared to be surplus, and the contin...
