RESOLUTION: Waive the Bidding Requirements and Utilize the State Bid Contract for the Purchase of Two Ford Explorer Utility Vehicles

Whereas, The Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, The Village will utilize the State Bid Contract for the purchase of two Ford Explorer utility vehicles from Morrow Brothers Ford Inc.; and,
Whereas, The Village has $80,000 available in the FY 19/20 Budget for the purchase of the Ford Explorer utility vehicles. The purchase price of the Ford Explorers is $33,355.00 each, for a total amount of $66,710.00, below the amount available in the budget; and,
Whereas, The Village Staff recommends waiving the bidding requirements and utilizing the State Bid Contract for the purchase of two Ford Explorer utility vehicles; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Village of Romeoville will waive the bidding requirements and utilize the State Bid Contract for the purchase of two Ford Explorer utility vehicles for a total amount of $66,710.00.
Section 2: The Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
