RESOLUTION: Waive the Bidding Requirements and Utilize the State Bid Contract for the Purchase of Two Ford F150 and Two Ford F250 Pickup Trucks

Body

                     Whereas, The Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,

 

                     Whereas, The Village will utilize the State Bid Contract for the purchase of two Ford F150 pickup trucks and two Ford F250 pickup trucks from Morrow Brothers Ford Inc.; and,

 

Whereas, The Village has $70,000 approved in the FY 19/20 Budget for the purchase of the F150 pickup trucks, and $80,000 approved for the F250 pickup trucks.  The purchase price of the F150 trucks is $30,965.00 each, for a total amount of $61,930.00, and the purchase price of the F250 trucks is $34,750.00, for a total amount of $69,500.00, which is below the budgeted amounts; and,

 

                     Whereas, The Village Staff recommends waiving the bidding requirements and utilizing the State Bid Contract for the purchase of two Ford F150 pickup trucks and two Ford F250 pickup trucks; and,

 

                     NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

                     Section 1:                      The Village of Romeoville will waive the bidding requirements and utilize the State Bid Contract for the purchase of two Ford F150 pickup trucks for a total amount of $61,930.00 and two Ford F250 pickup trucks for a total amount of $69,500.00.

Section 2:                      The Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
