A Resolution waiving the bids and authorizing the purchase of Mobile Data Terminals from CDW-G (three proposals received)

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/9-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43 (C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Village of Romeoville may by a vote of 2/3 of the Trustees then holding office, waive the otherwise applicable requirements for public bidding, whether for labor, services or work, the construction of public works or improvements, or the purchase, lease or sale of personal property, materials, equipment or supplies; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville has determined that it is necessary and desirable to purchase additional Mobile Data Terminals and equipment, with the total purchase amount not to exceed 103,999.60; and
WHEREAS, three proposals were received for said equipment, CDW-G providing the lowest proposal; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the Village to authorize the purchase of said equipment from CDW-G.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, that:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby expressly incorporated into and made part of this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirement: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43 (C) of the Village Code of Ordinances the Corporate Authorities of the Village hereby waive the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the purchase of additional equipment from CDW-G with a total purchase amount not to exceed 103,999.60.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Resolutions or parts thereof in conflict or inconsistent with this Resolution are hereby expressly repealed only to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency.
