RESOLUTION: Waive the Bidding Requirements and Accept the Price Quote for the Purchase of a Water Main Repair Vehicle

Whereas, The Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, The Village will purchase a water main repair vehicle from Currie Ford Commercial Center; and,
Whereas, The Village has $250,000 approved in the FY 19/20 Budget for the purchase of the water main repair vehicle. The purchase price of the vehicle is $143,745.00, which is below the budgeted amount; and,
Whereas, The Village Staff recommends waiving the bidding requirements for the purchase of a water main repair vehicle; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Village of Romeoville will waive the bidding requirements for the purchase of a water main repair vehicle in the amount of $143,745.00.
Section 2: The Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
