An Ordinance Amending Chapter 159 (Zoning Ordinance) of the Village of Romeoville Code of Ordinances for Video Gaming
Body

WHEREAS, Village review of the provisions of Chapter 159.072(E)(6)(c) in light of recent statutory amendments has indicated the need for certain revisions to be made to such provisions; and

WHEREAS, a public hearing on the above-contemplated amendment to the text of the Village Zoning Code has been conducted before the Village Plan Commission, as detailed in the Planning Commission Report attached as Exhibit A, and the same has otherwise been reviewed and considered in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Village of Romeoville Code of Ordinances and the laws of the State of Illinois.


NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS; THAT:


SECTION 1: RECITALS. The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Ordinance as if fully set forth herein.
SECTION 2: AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 159.072(E)(6)(c) -Video Gaming Terminal Location Special Use Permit Regulations. All those heretofore adopted ordinances of the Village codified as and for Chapter 159.072(E)(6)(c) of the Village Code of Ordinances are hereby amended to read as follows:
(c) No more than six video gaming terminals may be operated at a given location.
SECTION 3: SEVERABILITY. That the various provisions of this Ordinance are to be considered severable and if any part or portion of this Ordinance shall be held invalid by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Ordinance.

SECTION 4: CONFLICTS. All prior Ordinances and Resolutions, or parts thereof in conflict or inconsistent with this Ordinance are hereby expressly repealed only to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency.
