A Resolution Waiving the Bids and Authorizing the Purchase of Computers and Related Equipment for the Annual Computer Replacement Program from the GAD Group - 3 proposals received

Whereas, pursuant to a two-thirds vote of the Village Board of Trustees, the Board may waive the requirements of the Village Code of Ordinances and the Illinois Municipal Code to competitively bid certain contracts for the procurement of goods and services or performance of certain work; and
Whereas, the Village of Romeoville desires to purchase certain computer equipment ; and
Whereas, funds have been allocated within the approved 19-20 budget for the purchase of equipment for the Annual Computer Replacement Program; and
Whereas, the GAD Group provided the lowest proposal for such equipment.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE. The forgoing Recitals are hereby incorporated into this resolution as if fully set forth in this Section 1.
SECTION TWO. The competitive bidding process of the Village of Romeoville Code of Ordinances and the Illinois Municipal Code is hereby waived, and staff of the Village are hereby authorized and directed to accept the proposal from the GAD Group for the purchase of computers and related equipment in the amount of $36,292.40.
SECTION THREE. That the various provisions of this Resolution are to be considered severable and if any part or portion of this Resolution shall be held invalid by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Resolution
SECTION FOUR. All prior Resolutions and Resolutions, or parts thereof in conflict or inconsistent with this Resolution are hereby expressly repealed only to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency.
