A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE TO WAIVE THE BIDDING PROCESS AND ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH CARDCONNECT, LLC, TO PROVIDE MERCHANT AND OTHER SERVICES RELATED TO CREDIT CARD TRANSACTION PROCESSING

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43 (C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Village of Romeoville may by a vote of 2/3 of the Trustees then holding office, waive the otherwise applicable requirements for public bidding, whether for labor, services or work, the construction of public works or improvements, or the purchase, lease or sale of personal property, materials, equipment or supplies; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville Parks and Recreation Department has acquired a new software, RecTrac, for registration services to make processing more efficient and user-friendly for our residents; and
WHEREAS, in order to utilize this new software, the Village needs to obtain a different credit card merchant services provider, CardConnect, LLC, which will integrate with the new software (Exhibit B); and
WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville Parks and Recreation Department will also realize a saving of approximately $557.10 per year with the CardConnect, LLC in comparison to our current credit card merchant services provider Authorize.net (Exhibit A); and
WHEREAS, the Village would like to enter into an agreement with CardConnect, LLC, with no minimum annual requirement (Exhibit C) based on the Program Terms and Conditions and Amendments (Exhibit D).
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, that:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby expressly incorporated into and made part of this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
