Authorizing the Waving of the Bid Requirements and the Execution of a Contract for a Safe and Related Services

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville ("The Village") is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, the Village of Romeoville ("The Village") desires to install a smart safe to place daily cash deposits that will be credited to the Village bank account when placed the safe and weekly transport/pick-up services of the deposits, and,
Whereas, the Village of Romeoville ("The Village") has heretofore reviewed a proposal for the five-year lease of the safe and services from Loomis Armored US, LLC, and,
Whereas, the safe and services are being purchased after requests for proposals were sought from three vendors, and,
Whereas, while the funds were not budgeted in the 2019/2020 Fiscal Year Budget, but savings are available within the budget for the 2019/20 Fiscal Year costs of $3,115; and,
Whereas, Loomis Armored US, LLC has set forth a price of $31,147.20 for a 60-month lease term ($519.12 per month) including maintenance, training and services; and,
Whereas, to permit prompt commencement and installation of the aforementioned safe and service, the Village must execute an agreement with Loomis Armored US. LLC for performance of such installation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the proposal hereto aforementioned made by Loomis Armored US LLC in the amount of $31,147.20 for the lease of safe and related services is accepted.
Section 2. That the President and Clerk, or their designees including the Village Manger and Finance Director, are hereby respectively authorized to execute and attest to the execution of contracts and agreements with Loomis Armored US, LLC with the agreement accepted herein and execute any further documents necessary to effectuate the...
