A Resolution to Waive the Bid Process and Accept the Price Quote for Roofing at Two Wastewater Treatment Buildings

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,

Whereas, the expenditures for the replacement of the roofing at two wastewater treatment buildings are budgeted for in the 2019 Water and Sewer Capital Improvement Bond, and the expenditures for cladding of the salt dome entranceway are available in the FY 19/20 Budget; and,

Whereas, a price quote has been received from Crowther Roofing and Sheet Metal, Inc. in the amount of $83,000 for the replacement of the roofing at the two wastewater treatment buildings and in the amount of $12,500 for the salt dome entrance cladding.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the replacement of the roofing at two wastewater treatment buildings and the cladding of the salt dome entranceway.

Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.

Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the ...
