Amending Resolution 19-2691 Accepting a Proposal from Able Masonry - Renwick and Weber

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43(C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Village of Romeoville may by a vote of 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office, waive the otherwise applicable requirements for public bidding, whether for labor, services or work, the construction of public works or improvements, or the purchase, lease or sale of personal property, materials, equipment or supplies,

WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville has received and the Village Board has approved a proposal from Able Masonry Development Inc. for the installation of limestone material at the Village entry sign located at the northwest corner of Renwick Road and Weber Road, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A; and

WHEREAS, the limestone material to be installed per the proposal has been donated to the Village for the project by Gary Galassi of Galassi Stone and Steel; and

WHEREAS, during the construction of the original authorized work, the contractor found the existing base block work of the sign to be in poor condition and need of repair, and

WHEREAS, based upon review of the proposed change order the Village has determined to accept the proposal and Change Order 1 from Able Masonry Development, Inc. therefore the total cost to the Village for the work referenced in such proposal shall not exceed the sum of $105,000.00,

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, that:

Section 1:Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby expressly incorporated into and made a part of this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

Section 2:Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS
