A Resolution to Waive the Bid Process and Accept the Price Quote for the Purchase of a Vermeer CTX100 Mini Skidsteer Loader (Sole Vendor)

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,

Whereas, the Village will utilize the Sourcewell Contract #062117-VRM for the purchase of one Vermeer CTX100 Mini Skidsteer Loader; and,

Whereas, the expenditures for a mini skidsteer loader are available in the Fiscal Year 2019/2020 Budget; and,

Whereas, a price quote has been received from Vermeer-Illinois, Inc. for a Vermeer CTX100 Mini Skidsteer Loader including attachments for $45,450.00.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the purchase of a Vermeer CTX100 Mini Skidsteer Loader.

Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.

Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
