A Resolution to Waive the Bid Process and Accept the Price Quote for the Purchase of a John Deere Pro Gator Turf Utility Vehicle (Sole Vendor)

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,

Whereas, the Village will utilize the Sourcewell Contract #062117-DAC for the purchase of one John Deere Pro Gator 2020A turf utility vehicle; and,

Whereas, the expenditures for a Gator utility vehicle are available in the Fiscal Year 2019/2020 Budget; and,

Whereas, a price quote has been received from J.W. Turf, Inc. for a John Deere Gator turf utility vehicle for $23,967.08.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the purchase of a John Deere Pro Gator Turf Utility Vehicle.

Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.

Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
