RESOLUTION: Waive the Bidding Requirements and Utilize the State Bid Contract for the Purchase of Two 2019 Ford F250 Pickup Trucks

Whereas, The Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, The Village will utilize the State Bid Contract #4018300 for the purchase of two Ford F250 pickup trucks from Landmark Ford Inc., and will purchase lift gates and a snowplow blade from Monroe Truck Equipment; and,
Whereas, The Village has $88,000 approved in the FY 19/20 Budget for the purchase of the pickup trucks. The purchase price of these vehicles is $55,200.00 plus $16,807.00 for the lift gates and snowplow blade for a total amount of $72,007.00, which is below the budgeted amount of $88,000.00; and,
Whereas, The Village Staff recommends waiving the bidding requirements and utilizing the State Bid Contract for the purchase of two Ford F250 pickup trucks; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Village of Romeoville will waive the bidding requirements for the purchase of two Ford F250 pickup trucks for the amount of $72,007.00.
Section 2: The Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
