RESOLUTION: Waive the Bidding Requirements and Utilize the Sourcewell Municipal Cooperative Purchasing Program for the Purchase of One Elgin Street Sweeper and One Vactor Hydro-Excavation Truck

Body

                     Whereas, The Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,

 

                     Whereas, The Village will utilize the Sourcewell Contract #022014-FSC for the purchase of one Elgin Brown Bear Dual Gutter Broom Sweeper and one Vactor HXX Paradigm Hydro-Excavation Truck; and,

 

Whereas, The Village has $300,000 approved for the street sweeper, and $315,000 approved for the Vactor hydro-excavation truck, for a total of $615,000, in the FY 19/20 budget for the purchase of this equipment; and,

 

                     Whereas, Village Staff recommends waiving the bidding requirements and purchasing one Elgin Brown Bear Dual Gutter Broom Sweeper and one Vactor HXX Paradigm Hydro-Excavation Truck through the Sourcewell Purchasing Program; and,

 

                     NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

                     Section 1:                      The Village of Romeoville will waive the bidding requirements and utilize the Sourcewell Purchasing Program for the purchase of one Elgin Brown Bear Gutter Broom Sweeper for $289,946.00 minus $85,000 for incentives and trade-in, and for the purchase of one Vactor HXX Paradigm Hydro-Excavation Truck for $300,100.00, for a total purchase price of $504,956.00.

Section 2:                      The Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
