A Resolution to Approve a Proposal from Carroll Seating Company for 12 New Tournament 8-Feet Portable Basketball Hoops with Romeoville Logo, Backboard Rock, Carts, and NBA Basketballs for the Romeoville Edwards Athletic and Event Center for a cost of $87,000.00

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43 (C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Village of Romeoville may by a vote of 2/3 of the Trustees then holding office, waive the otherwise applicable requirements for public bidding, whether for labor, services or work, the construction of public works or improvements, or the purchase, lease or sale of personal property, materials, equipment or supplies; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville strives to ensure the safety of all visitors at our recreational facilities; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville would like to replace the portable basketball hoops at the Romeoville Edwards and Athletic Center in order to meet the minimum standard height requirements, thereby increasing the safety of our patrons; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville wishes to accept a proposal from Carroll Seating Company for 12 new tournament 8-feet portable basketball hoops with Romeoville logo, backboard rock, carts, and basketballs for a cost of $87,000.000 (see Exhibit A).
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, that:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby expressly incorporated into and made part of this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirement: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43 (C) of the Village Code of Ordinances the Corporate Authorities of the Village hereby waive the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to and authorize a proposal from Carroll Seating Company for 12 new tournament 8-fe...
