A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE WAIVING OF BIDS FOR
THREE 2019 FORD F-250 TRUCKS FOR THE VILLAGE DEPARTMENT OF
PARKS AND RECREATION WITH LANDMARK FORD, INCORPORATED
PER THE STATE OF ILLINOIS CONTRACT #4018300

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43 (C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Village of Romeoville may by a vote of 2/3 of tis Trustees then holding office, waive the otherwise applicable requirements for public bidding, whether for labor, services or work, the construction of public works or improvements, or the purchase, lease or sale of personal property, materials, equipment or supplies; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville has determined to accept a quote from Landmark Ford, Incorporated, in Springfield, Illinois for three 2019 Ford F-250 trucks for the Village Parks and Recreation Department; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville has purchased vehicles from Landmark Ford Incorporated, in the past and have been pleased with their service and quality; and
WHEREAS, The Village would like to purchase three 2019 Ford F-250 trucks and utilize the State of Illinois Contract #4018300 Landmark Ford Inc., for a total cost of $123,393.00 per the terms and conditions set forth in the attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, that:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby expressly incorporated into and made part of this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirement: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43 (C) of the Village Code of Ordinances the Corporate Authorities of the Village hereby waive the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the provision of three 2019 Ford F-250 trucks for the Village Parks and Recreation Department and authorize the purchase of these trucks based upon the terms and conditions set forth in the attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A.
Section 3: That the various provisions of this Resolution are to be considered severable and if any part or portion of this Resolution shall be held invalid by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Resolution.
Section 4: Repealer: All other Resolutions or parts thereof in conflict or inconsistent with this Resolution are hereby expressly repealed only to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency.
Section 5: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, or void, the same shall not affect the validity of enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, provisions or sections thereof.
Section 6: Effective Date: This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
