RESOLUTION: Waive the Bidding Requirements and Utilize the Sourcewell Municipal Cooperative Purchasing Program for the purchase of one 2020 2-1/2 Ton Single-Axle Dump Truck and two 2020 Tandem-Axle Dump Trucks

Whereas, The Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, The Village will utilize the Sourcewell Contract #081716-PMC for the purchase of one Peterbilt 2-1/2 ton single-axle dump truck and two Peterbilt tandem-axle dump trucks from JX Peterbilt, and will utilize the Sourcewell Contract #080114-MTE for the purchase of the dump bodies, snow removal equipment and hydraulic systems for each truck from Monroe Equipment; and,
Whereas, The Village has $220,000 approved for the 2-1/2 ton dump truck, and $300,000 approved for each tandem-axle dump truck, for a total of $820,000 for the three trucks, in the FY 19/20 budget for the purchase of these vehicles; and,
Whereas, Village Staff recommends waiving the bidding requirements and purchasing a 2-1/2 ton single-axle dump truck and two tandem-axle dump trucks, and dump bodies, snow removal equipment, and hydraulics for each through the Sourcewell Purchasing Program; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Village of Romeoville will waive the bidding requirements and utilize the Sourcewell Purchasing Program for the purchase of one Peterbilt 2-1/2 ton dump truck and two tandem-axle dump trucks with dump bodies, snow removal equipment, and hydraulic systems or each, for $211,151.03, $250,680.79 and $283,879.79, respectively, for a total purchase price of $745,711.61.
Section 2: The Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
