Resolution: Awarding of the Contract for the Public Works Facilities Construction Project

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville ("The Village") is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,

Whereas, a bid letting for the Public Works Facilities Construction Project was held on April 11, 2019, and bids were received from eight prequalified bidders; and,

Whereas, the low responsive and responsible bidder was identified as Madison Construction with a bid including select alternate items of $6,914,037, and the architect, Robert Juris & Associates, has verified the bid is properly complete and accurate; and,

Whereas, the architect, Robert Juris & Associates, has interviewed the successful low bidder, Madison Construction, and has determined that they are a qualified and acceptable contractor for the project.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

Section 2: Awarding of Contract: The Village of Romeoville awards the contract for the Public Works Facilities Construction Project in the amount of $6,914,037.00.

Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.

Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
