WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43 (C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Village of Romeoville may by a vote of 2/3 of tis Trustees then holding office, waive the otherwise applicable requirements for public bidding, whether for labor, services or work, the construction of public works or improvements, or the purchase, lease or sale of personal property, materials, equipment or supplies; and

WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville has determined to accept a quote from Sutton Ford, Incorporated, in Matteson, Illinois for a 2019 Ford Fusion for the Village Parks and Recreation Department; and

WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville has purchased vehicles from Sutton Ford Incorporated, in the past and have been pleased with their service and quality; and

WHEREAS, The Village would like to purchase a 2019 Ford Fusion and utilize an Illinois Government Concession #40-634K and an additional discount from Sutton Ford Inc., for a total cost of $19,829.00 per the terms and conditions set forth in the attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, that:

Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby expressly incorporated into and made part of this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirement: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43 (C) of the Village Code of Ordinances the Corporate Authorities of the Village hereby waive the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the provision of a 2019 Ford Fusion for the Village Parks and Recreation Department and authorize the purchase of this vehicle based upon the te...
