TITLE
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE TO ACCEPT THE SERVICE PROPOSAL FROM SIKICH LLP FOR PROFESSIONAL AUDIT SERVICES FOR THE AUDIT OF FISCAL YEARS ENDING 2019, 2020 AND 2021 WITH VILLAGE OPTIONS FOR FISCAL YEAR ENDING 2022 AND 2023.

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville ("The Village") is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, Illinois Complied Statutes Chapter 50, Section 310.2 requires "the governing body of each governmental unit shall cause an audit of the accounts of the unit be made by a licensed public accountant" and that "such audit shall be made annually and shall cover the immediately preceding fiscal year of the governmental unit"; and,
Whereas, the Village of Romeoville requested a written proposal for auditing services from the Village's current auditing firm Sikich LLC; and,
Whereas, the proposal from best meets the Village of Romeoville's needs for auditing and other services; and,
Whereas, Sikich LLP will prepare an engagement letter for each Fiscal Year for the auditing and other services for fiscal years ending 2019, 2020 and 2021 and optional years for fiscal years ending in 2022 and 2023 in accordance to the terms; and,
Whereas, the Village of Romeoville will enter into agreements, through annual engagement letters, with Sikich LLP for the purpose of providing auditing and other services for Fiscal Years ending 2019, 2020 and 2021 and optional years 2022 and 2023.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Village of Romeoville will enter into the attached agreement with Sikich LLP for the services outlined in the engagement letter, proposal and Request for Proposal.
