A Resolution Waiving the Public Bidding Process and
Authorizing a Contract for the Purchase of One (1)
T1 Training Firearms Simulator

Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to a two-thirds vote of the Village Board of Trustees, the Board may waive the requirements of the Village Code of Ordinances and the Illinois Municipal Code to competitively bid certain contracts for the procurement of goods and services or performance of certain work; and

WHEREAS, Village of Romeoville desires to enter into that certain agreement for the purchase of a firearms simulator; and

WHEREAS, the Department researched simulator models offered by several vendors for the training features that are required by the Department; and

WHEREAS, T1 Training is the sole supplier for this simulator that has all the requirements requested by our Department; and

WHEREAS, the Police Department will be using $125,000.00 from state money laundering forfeiture funds for the purchase and equipping of the new T1 Training Firearms Simulator; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

SECTION ONE. The forgoing Recitals are hereby incorporated into this resolution as if fully set forth in this Section 1.

SECTION TWO. The competitive bidding process of the Village of Romeoville Code of Ordinances and the Illinois Municipal Code is hereby waived, and staff of the Village are hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement with T1 Training for the purchase of one firearms simulator in the amount not to exceed $125,000.00

SECTION THREE. That the various provisions of this Resolution are to be considered severable and if any part or portion of this Resolution shall be held invalid by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Resolution.
