Authorize the Lease/Purchase of 2019 Seagrave Model TB50C5 Marauder Pumper from Seagrave Fire Apparatus, LLC of Clintonville Wisconsin

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, the purchase was budgeted and approved in the 2018/2019 Fiscal Year Budget, and this vehicle will be purchased for the amount not to exceed $638,107.00 and is within the constraints of the Budget; and,
Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) has heretofore reviewed the purchase proposal from Seagrave Fire Apparatus, LLC., Clintonville, WI; and
Whereas, the Village’s current Engine at Station 1, has reached the end of its useful life as a front line vehicle and does not provide the features, functionality and reliability needed by the Village to continually operate in an effective and efficient manner and the purchasing and leasing of the engine was budgeted and approved in the 2018/19 Fiscal Year budget; and
Whereas, the 2019 Seagrave Marauder Pumper will provide the Village with the features and functionality it desires; and
Whereas, the Village will utilize the HGAC (Houston-Galveston Area Council) purchasing program.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Village of Romeoville approves the staff to purchase one (1) 2019 Seagrave Model TB50C5 Marauder Pumper from Seagrave Fire Apparatus LLC, of Clintonville, WI utilizing the HGAC (Houston-Galveston Area Council) purchasing agreement.
Section 2: That the proposal hereto aforementioned made by Seagrave Fire Apparatus, LLC, Clintonville, WI in the estimated amount of $638,107.00 is attached.
Section 3: The Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
