A Resolution to Accept a Contract with George's Landscape Inc.
To Construct Playground Improvements at Budler Park

WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville ("Village") has heretofore received two proposals to construct renovations at Budler Park from George's Landscaping, Inc. (GLI) in the amount of $161,500.00 and from Clauss Brothers, Inc. in the amount of $184,814.65, for said construction; and
WHEREAS, the Village would like to accept the proposal from George's Landscaping, Inc., for renovations at Budler Park for $161,500.00, which was the lower of the two proposals received (see Exhibit A); and
WHEREAS, the Village would further like to purchase necessary playground equipment, park items, civil engineering and topographical engineering, and construction testing services for an additional $78,300.00 (see Exhibit B); and
WHEREAS, the Village has been provided a rendering of the proposed renovations for Budler Park (see Exhibit C); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,
WHEREAS, to permit the prompt commencement and completion of the aforementioned project, the Village must execute a contract with George's Landscaping, Inc., for the performance of such work.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, that:
SECTION ONE: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth in this Section 1.
SECTION TWO: That the various provisions of this Resolutions are to be considered severable and if any part or portion of this Resolution shall be held invalid by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not be affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Resolution.
