Authorizing the credit of $5.00 on the January 2019 residential water and sewer bills of Village of Romeoville Residents

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) wishes to provide monetary relief to its water and sewer residential customers in the currently harsh economic times; and,
Whereas, the FY 2018-19 budget approved by Village Ordinance 18-1478 provides authorized funding through line item savings and/or additional revenues for a $5.00 water and sewer bill credit per single family household.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That each single family residential dwelling unit water and sewer billing account, excluding sewer only accounts, irrigation accounts and other second meter accounts, receive a $5.00 credit applied to the appropriate account on the January 2019 water bills issued by the Village of Romeoville.
Section 2. That the water and sewer bill credit applies only to those single family dwelling unit water and sewer accounts where the service address is physically located with the Village of Romeoville corporate limits.
Section 3. That the water and sewer bill credit applies only to the primary account holder(s) named on the account, the credit is non-transferable to another account or person and the credit will remain on the account and not be paid out in cash by the Village of Romeoville, excluding final credit account balances.
Section 4. That the Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
