A Resolution waiving the bids and entering into a contract -

Whereas, The Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, pursuant to the applicable provisions of the Illinois Municipal Code and the Village of Romeoville Code of Ordinances, the Corporate Authorities, by a two-thirds vote, may, at their discretion, waive the otherwise applicable public bidding procedures applicable to the procurement of goods and services by the Village; and,
Whereas, Village Staff has worked with the Northwest Cedar Products on various fencing projects and recommends the Village Board waive the formal bidding process and approve the proposal submitted by Northwest Cedar Products.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: WAIVER OF BID PROCESS AND ACCEPTANCE OF PROPOSAL: The Village of Romeoville, by a two-thirds vote of its trustees presently holding office, hereby waives the otherwise applicable public bidding procedures and accepts the proposal from Northwest Cedar Products in the amount not to exceed $32,000 for the installation of a fence along rear properties along Elgin Ave
Section 2: The Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
Section 3: RECITALS: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
