TITLE
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE WAIVING OF BIDS AND TO ACCEPT
A CONTRACT WITH MIDWEST SPORTS SURFACES, LLC FOR
THE RESURFACING OF VILLAGE PARK TENNIS COURTS FOR $78,900.00

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43(C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Village of Romeoville may by a vote of 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office, waive the otherwise applicable requirements for public bidding, whether for labor, services or work, the construction of public works or improvements, or the purchase, lease or sale of personal property, materials, equipment or supplies,
WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville previously installed new tennis court lighting to maintain the tennis courts; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville would like to further maintain these amenities by resurfacing the tennis courts as they are in need of repair (Exhibit C); and
WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville requested proposals for the resurfacing of the tennis courts at Village Park (Exhibit A) from which two quotations were received from US Tennis Court Construction Company for $84,750.00 and from Midwest Sport Surfaces, LLC, for $78,900.00 (Exhibit B); and
WHEREAS, based upon review of the applicable proposals and proposed contractor qualifications, the Village has determined to enter into a contract with Midwest Sport Surfaces, LLC, for $78,900.00, for the resurfacing of the tennis courts at Village Park; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, that:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby expressly incorporated into and made a part of this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS
5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43(C) of the Village Code of Ordinances the Corporate Authorities of the Village hereby waive the public...
