A Resolution Declaring Surplus Property and Authorizing the Disposition of
Miscellaneous Excess Village Equipment

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code (65 ILCS 11-76-4) the corporate authorities of the Village of Romeoville (the "Village") are authorized to sell, donate, or otherwise dispose of surplus personal property when, in the opinion of a majority of the corporate authorities, the continued ownership of such personal property by the Village is no longer necessary or useful to or in the best interests of the Village; and

WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village have determined that the continued ownership by the Village of Romeoville for the following items,

hereto are no longer necessary or useful to, nor in the best interest of the Village of Romeoville, and authorize and direct the disposition thereof in accordance with the terms hereinafter set forth.

NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the President and Board of Trustees for the Village of Romeoville, Will County, Illinois, the following:

SECTION 1: RECITALS. The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Ordinance as if fully set forth herein.

SECTION 2: DECLARATION AS SURPLUS; AUTHORIZATION OF DISPOSITION. Much of this equipment is over 10 years old and is no longer suited for use by the Village. This equipment will hereby declared to be surplus, and the continued ownership thereof is determined to no longer be necessary or useful to or otherwise in the best interests of the Village, and is hereby authorized and directed to dispose of such property in any manner in which it deems appropriate, including public auction, but not limited to the disposal of the same as ...
