An Ordinance Amending Chapter 42A of the Village Code of Ordinances (Administrative Adjudication)-Adding Specified Code of Ordinances Violations to Appendix to Chapter 42A

WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville has heretofore adopted certain ordinances now codified as and for Chapter 42A of the Village Code of Ordinances and as other provisions of the Village Code of Ordinances setting forth and establishing a system of administrative adjudication for specified violations of the Village Code of Ordinances; and

WHEREAS, after Village staff review, it has been determined that that the violation of various provisions of the Village Code of Ordinances as hereinafter set forth should be added to the Appendix to Chapter 42A of the Village Code as violations eligible to be enforced through the administrative adjudication provisions of Chapter 42A.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, THAT:


SECTION 1: RECITALS. The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Ordinance as if fully set forth herein.

SECTION 2: AMENDMENT OF CHAPTER 42A--Appendix OF VILLAGE CODE OF ORDINANCES. Chapter 42A--Appendix of the Village Code of Ordinances shall hereby be amended by the addition of the following text, thereby permitting violations of the aforementioned provisions of the Village Code to be the subject of administrative adjudication proceedings under Chapter 42A:

Chapter 93--Nuisances

Chapter 151-Housing/Property Maintenance

Chapter 155-Rental Property Inspections

Chapter 156-Residential Rental Property Licensing and Crime Free Housing


SECTION 3: SEVERABILITY. That the various provisions of this Ordinance are to be considered severable and if any part or portion of this Ordinance shall be held invalid by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of...
