A Resolution Approving an Amended Intergovernmental Agreement with the Commuter Rail Division of the Regional Transportation Authority ("Metra")

WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville has determined that it is in its best interests to enter into an amended intergovernmental agreement with the Commuter Rail Division of the Regional Transportation Authority ("Metra") for the provision of grant funding for the design and engineering of the expansion of the parking facility at the Romeoville Metra Station, all in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, the agreement attached as Exhibit A is substantially the same as the agreement dated as of April 18, 2018, but has been amended to permit the use of unused grant funding to defray construction costs incurred on the underlying project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE. The foregoing Recitals are hereby incorporated into this resolution as if fully set forth in this Section 1.
SECTION TWO. That the proper officers of the Village are authorized and directed to execute and attest to the execution of the amended intergovernmental agreement with Metra for the parking lot expansion design and engineering in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A.
SECTION THREE. That the various provisions of this Resolution are to be considered severable and if any part or portion of this Resolution shall be held invalid by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Resolution.
SECTION FOUR. All prior Resolutions and Resolutions, or parts thereof in conflict or inconsistent with this Resolution are hereby expressly repealed only to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency.
